Today I have been thinking about people who don’t have a relationship with God. I wonder how they do it? I know I couldn’t. He has always been right there. On my happy joyous days and even on my darkest days. He is only a whisper away. Waiting, wanting and longing for me to call his name. Jeremiah 29:12 reads “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” How about you? Have you talked to God today? Thanks for reading!
Being tested by God is not fun. He tests us to make us stronger and more like him. Tests come in all forms to areas in our life we need to change. When we don’t change, He will send the same test or even another one until we do. Sometimes it’s not clear what and why we need the change. I always pray asking God to show me what I need to learn to pass the test because I don’t want to take it again. James 1:2-4 reads “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” What about you? Are you passing the test? Thanks for reading!
Do You ever ask God, why am I still here? For some reason He is not moving you. It’s hard to understand. We just have to trust that whatever the reason, He knows our struggle and how weary we are. He knows how hard it is. Through it all He still has our best planned. When you feel like this read Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” He is there with you through it all! We went after work yesterday and picked up two goats for our farm. One is older but one is just a little baby. They were both scared even though we did all we could to help them adjust. I was worried sick over them and had a hard time going to sleep. I finally had to just give it to God and prayed He would comfort them and keep them safe. As soon as I did, I fell asleep. Today I’m asking myself why didn’t I just do that from the beginning? It’s because I’m human. God wants us to pray to him before, not after we give up. If we do it saves us so much stress and anxiety. 1 Peter 5:7 reads “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” How about you, do you pray before or like me wait until you are completely overwhelmed? Thanks for reading!
Do you ever feel you have been left alone and forgotten? The struggle just seems to be too much? God hasn’t left or forgotten you. He sees it all, every minute of every day. He knows exactly what you are going through. Satan wants you to believe that’s happening but he is a liar! When you start feeling this read Deuteronomy 31:8 “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” We are not alone. Thanks for reading!
