I helped Rob hang a gate this afternoon. Well I watched more than helped but I was amazed by it. He used a brick for leverage and a wrench to turn the hinge pins. Both of these things are used for different purposes but he used them to get it done. We can use our life for a different purpose. We can show others who Jesus is and how living for him can change their life and never even say a word. So how about you? You don’t have to be a Pastor to preach a sermon. What does your life say to others?
Do you have days when you feel like you just can’t keep going? What about days when you want to throw up your hands? You don’t though, you keep going. You don’t give up and you don’t give in. 1 John 4:4 reads “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” Guess what, you are an Overcomer! Yes you! All because of Jesus you can and will overcome any and everything that is put before you. Thanks for reading!
Yesterday we went after work to purchase chairs for our back deck. We moved the two we had there to the front porch. All the years we’ve lived in our house we’ve never had chairs out front. We went out to try them last night. It was like a different world. The breeze, the sounds and the stars were so beautiful! It’s like God had a whole other world right there all this time and all we had to do was change our view. So how about you? Are you missing something God has for you? Maybe changing your view would make all the difference. Thanks for reading!
Does it ever feel like you are doing good for God in everything but you see people around you that aren’t and they are prospering? I was asked this question and I really didn’t know the right answer so I just listened. I wanted to do some reading before I replied. So why is that? Romans 2:6-8 reads “He will judge everyone according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness.” What I see is they are prospering in earthly things and may look and think they are living the good life but if they are not living for God, they are not truly happy. We must trust God and keep doing good knowing, He will make it all right one day. Thanks for reading!
I looked up Faith in the dictionary, it means; strong or unshakable belief that is not based on proof. I also looked up Expectation, it means; a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future. The two words are very similar but they are different. To me faith means believing God will act. Expectation is the result we are hoping to achieve. While it’s possible to do one without the other, God wants us to do both. Mark 11:24 reads “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” So when we bring our prayers to him, he wants us to have faith and expectation. He is on our side and he cares about our needs. Now that is good news! Thanks for reading!
