I woke to stiff muscles from painting yesterday. I took some ibuprofen and the pain went away. It got me thinking about Faith. The more we use faith the stronger it becomes. The bible is kind of like the ibuprofen we need to help us with the pain of growing our Faith. Thanks for reading!
We spent the afternoon helping some friends paint the house they are moving into. One thing I noticed is because we had a paint brush in one hand and a paint cup in the other, the only thing to do while we painted was talk. We had some really good get to know each other better conversations. You learn a lot about other people when you share a task. So don’t go it alone, get involved! You might even learn something about yourself. Thanks for reading!
This morning I had a prayer answered that I didn’t fully believe would be answered. It was a small simple prayer about something at work and if I didn’t get the answer I wanted it would be ok. I catch myself thinking “there are so many more bigger prayers than my little small ones that need to be prayed. God is so busy I shouldn’t bother Him with it.” Well He showed me! He answers the small simple prayers too! He also showed me, He wants me to ask for the small things and not just the big things. So what about you? Do you only pray the big prayers? Rain rain go way, come again another day. I’m not a big fan of rain but I know without it plants can’t bloom their beautiful flowers. Just like when we have dark gloomy rainy days, we don’t like them but those days make us grow and turn us into beautiful happy souls. Sometimes we even get to see a rainbow. Let the rain remind us the Sun/Son will shine on us again! Thanks for reading!
Do you sometimes find it hard to be an encourager to your Spouse? Sometimes I’m really good at it but other times I want to wallow in the despair with him. Today was one of those days. So how do I encourage him when I don’t feel like I can? I read verses in the bible about encouragement. I ask God to give me the words I need. I remind myself my words help the one I love keep going. It makes him want to get up, go out and face another battle. Thanks for reading!
