If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 (NIV)
The last few weeks have been quite overwhelming for us. At times it felt as if God wasn’t beside us, but we knew He was. When God is quiet, faith is born. No matter what we face, He is always there. Because we stood firm in our faith and trusted Him through it all, we’ve seen God move in mighty ways.
Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, “This is the right path; follow it.” Isaiah 30:20-21 (TPT)
Am I in my own way? Maybe that’s why some of my mountains aren’t moving. Really made me look at myself and how I’m handling things. Is my faith not strong enough to believe You can do ALL things? Do I keep trying to fix things instead of giving it to You? Maybe it really is me. Lord, if I’m the mountain, move me out of my own way. Show me what I need to change and help me do it.
So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:4-6 (NLT)
Life has a way of taking our plans and throwing them in the air while we watch the pieces fall all around us. When this happens, we can rest in knowing that His purpose for our life is so much better than any plans we make.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
